Ben was arrested following a confrontation with his former business partner. Reports reveal that he was armed with a gun, and under the influence of Narcotics.
Popular crypto influencer Benjamin Charles Armstrong, better known to many as BitBoy Crypto, has found himself in the middle of a legal controversy. Armstrong was arrested for "Loitering/prowling and Simple assault," as shown in a Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department record available online.
Local sources have clarified the circumstances leading up to Armstrong's arrest. It was reported that Armstrong confronted a former business partner over a Lamborghini. This confrontation was not private, as Armstrong live-streamed part of the incident on X (Twitter).
The Gwinnett County police in Georgia arrested Armstrong on Monday, September 25. But there seems to be more to the story than just a confrontation. WhaleWire highlighted that Armstrong was not only armed with a gun during the incident but was also under the influence of narcotics. The situation worsened when law enforcement authorities discovered illegal narcotics in his vehicle.
Unsurprisingly, the incident had immediate repercussions in the cryptocurrency market, specifically affecting the value of the BEN token. Within the last 24 hours post-arrest, the BEN token experienced a sharp decline in value, dropping by 20.64%.
