Pi Network’s Developer Ambassador program rewards Pioneers up to 1000 Pi for enrolling developers who create innovative applications on the mobile mining blockchain.

Introduction

Pi Network continues to propel its mission of creating an inclusive peer-to-peer ecosystem with the newly launched Developer Ambassador Program, announced in March

This program extends the participatory spirit of the platform, encouraging Pioneers to invite developers from their personal and professional networks to contribute to developing new Pi apps.

This program is not just for the tech-savvy. It's for all Pioneers who want to engage in the process of growing Pi Network's utilities and diversifying its applications for its impressive community of over 47 million members. And, of course, the efforts of these Developer Ambassadors are not without rewards, as exciting Pi rewards await!

Program Details

The initial phase of the Developer Ambassador Program allows ambassadors until September 30, 2023, to invite developers to create and list an unverified Mainnet app on the Pi Browser's Ecosystem UI.

This program allows the Ambassador to track the progress of their invited developers through a dedicated interface found in the main Pi app's menu bar under the "Roles" tab. Crucially, it is essential to note that the Pi rewards can only be obtained if the invited developer successfully creates a functional Pi app.

To become a Developer Ambassador, Pioneers need to take the following easy steps:

  • Open the Pi app and select the “Roles” tab from the top left corner of the application’s UI.
  • Click the “Developer Ambassador” tab.
  • You will be directed to your Developer Ambassador Dashboard. This is where you will see the list of all the developers you have onboarded with your code.
  • Send developers referral codes to join your Dashboard.

The Reward System

Pi Network greatly values the creation of new utilities as it paves the way to the next phase of the Pi roadmap. To recognize and reward the significant efforts of Developer Ambassadors, Pi Network has announced a reward of 1000 Pi for each new developer onboarded by an ambassador.

This reward is contingent on the developer successfully building and listing an unverified Mainnet Pi app on the Pi Browser's Ecosystem UI. The program aims to foster genuine efforts that advance the network's ambitions. Hence the reward is only granted when real apps are built and deployed.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Developer Ambassador to receive the reward of 1000 Pi are specific and clear:

  • The new Pioneer developer must join Pi Network using the Ambassador’s general Pi Network referral code.
  • Register an app on the Developer Portal within 30 days of becoming a Pioneer.
  • The new developer's unverified Mainnet app must meet the listing criteria and be successfully listed on the Ecosystem UI of the Pi Browser for at least 30 continuous days.

Pi Network has promised to disclose the listing criteria shortly:

“Details on the Ecosystem UI of the Pi Browser and the requirements to be listed on it as an unverified Mainnet App will be provided later.”

The Developer Ambassador Program stands as an exciting opportunity for Pioneers to contribute directly to the growth of Pi Network while also reaping the rewards for their efforts.

What is Pi Network?

Pi Network is a mobile mining blockchain with an application that lets people earn Pi coins by doing simple tasks on their phones. However, the project remains in its development stage with delivery of an open mainnet still a matter of speculation, with no launch date confirmed.

With this in mind, the protocol remains in its testnet stage and will apparently go live when many users (Pioneers) complete the mandatory KYC procedure while the core team works on developing its ecosystem.

Pi Network is also reported to be under investigation by authorities in Vietnam and users should exercise a high degree of caution when interacting with the project and ensure they have conducted sufficient research before doing so.
