1inch Network claims its new Router v5 is 5% more gas efficient than v4 and 10% more efficient on Ethereum than the nearest DEX.
1inch Network claims its new Router v5 will make users’ gas costs for swaps on Ethereum at least 10% lower than any other Decentralized Exchange (DEX).
“The new version makes 1inch users’ swapping activity on the Ethereum network yet more profitable. In the 1inch Router v5, swaps will be roughly 5% more gas efficient than in the previous version and 10% more gas efficient, compared with the second best performing player in the DEX segment,” according to a press release shared with BSC News.
1inch provided examples of swaps showing how much gas efficiency improves with Router v5, including USDC for USDT on Uniswap, ETH for USDC on Balancer, ETH for USDT on two Uniswap pools, and ETH for DAI through Dodo and Curve.
The new v5 router was merged with the 1inch Limit Order Protocol v3, which in the past year has captured about 40% of the DEX segment of the market on Ethereum.
Other improvements include new interaction logic, pre-/post-interactions, and custom errors that help explain to users why a specific operation failed.
The new version has been audited by protocols including Consensys, OpenZeppelin, and ABDK Consulting.
1inch also offers bug bounties for users that detect and report vulnerabilities in 1inch Router v5.
1inch is a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) aggregator that provides higher rates by discovering the most efficient swapping routes across all leading DEXes. 1inch operates on multiple networks, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Optimistic Ethereum.
