Squid Game Is Already Spawning Crypto Copycat Projects

A number of BSC projects based on the hit TV show ‘Squid Game’ are proving once again that there is no such thing as a concept which crypto can’t recycle.

A Bona Fide Hit

The Netflix show ‘Squid Game’ is officially a global smash hit phenomenon. A total of 132 million viewers have now seen the dystopian thriller, making it the biggest debut for any show on the streaming service. With such huge success metrics and instant brand recognition, it was only to be expected that the cryptosphere would ape in.

A number of crypto ‘Squid Game’ projects have now appeared, including Squid Game Protocol, Squidanomics, SquidGameBSC and International Squid Games. While these nano-cap tokens all have relatively small liquidity and online communities, the $3 million cap Squid Game Protocol (SGPRO) seems to have taken the early lead among its competitors.

“The level of excitement people will endure will be like the TV Show squid game,” asserts Squid Game Protocol on their website. “When you sell you lose the rewards for that round and will be eliminated.”

The numerous forks present a minefield of volatility and high risk -- of course with potential for large gains aswell. Squid Game BSC which launched its token on October 20th is already raising red flags among investors. The project launched on PancakeSwap on October 21st, and Squid Game BSC promises that it will launch six games on its platform by November including ‘Red Light, Green Light’ and ‘Tug of War’.
Editors Note: We have since received numerous red flags from users, please never share your seed phrase and risk appropriate amounts on nano-cap projects such as these.

The emergence of Squid Game crypto projects demonstrates once again that whatever mental real estate the public conscious occupies, crypto opportunists will attempt to land grab and develop for profit.

A Tough Game

If any of the Squid Game projects are to survive in the longer term they may find that borrowing a neat and popular concept from TV is only the start. For that, they will need wits, cunning, a solid game plan, and perhaps a little luck.

Investing in nano-cap memecoins is a high-risk strategy demanding nerves of steel. Anyone taking part should understand that the risk of elimination is ever present. The crypto game is as brutal and unforgiving as anything that Squid Games ever dreamed of.
