PH Web3 Festival Attracts Industry Leaders To The Philippines’ Largest Crypto Event

A star studded list of Web3 speakers will be at the Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City in Manila from Nov. 14 to 18.

The Philippine Web3 Festival, the largest in-person crypto gathering in the country, has invited industry leaders across various parts of Web3 to speak during the weeklong gathering.

The festival will take place at the Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City in Manila from Nov. 14-18. A star-studded cast, featuring leaders of prominent blockchain games, like Axie Infinity and Sandbox; Venture Capitalist Firms, like Animoca Brands; and exchanges, like Binance, is already headlining the event. Since the initial announcement, the team has revealed more prominent Web3 personalities that will speak during the conference.

Corey Wilton, Co-Founder of Mirai Labs, the game studio behind the blockchain game Pegaxy; APL DE AP, NFT artist and member of the music group Black Eyed Peas; and Matt Sorg, head of engineering for the Solana Foundation, are some of the more notable speakers and industry leaders that will attend the festival. The event will consist of three days of keynote speeches, fireside chats, and panel discussions sandwiched between a registration dinner and an Esports tournament.

The first day of the conference will take place on Nov. 15 and will have five keynote speeches throughout the day. Jeffrey Zirlin of Sky Mavis, creators of the popular blockchain game, Axie Infinity, and Gabby Dizon of Yield Guild Games are two speeches to look out for on the first day.

Zirlin will be talking about how games are considered digital nations, while Dizon will talk about his experience as one of the Filipino founders when the Metaverse started. Day one will serve as a crash course for the participants on the different aspects of Web3.

Infrastructure will be the main theme of the second day, with seven keynote speeches. Some segments to watch out for are “Building A Playform and Ecosystem For Growth” by Shreyansh Singh of Polygon Technology, “Why Web3 Needs Communities” by Alvin Kan of BNB Chain Labs, and “Binance’s Focus on the Philippines” by Leon Foong of Binance.

The final day of talks features more panel discussions that revolve around the content creation, art, and gaming side of Web3. “Which PlayToEarn Models Work Best?” featuring representatives from Delphi Digital, BinaryX, OP Games and Mirai Labs, and “Trends To Watch Out For in 2023” with speakers from the cosplay scene, Big Time Studios, AO Labs and MixMarvel, are two of the many panel discussions to watch out for on Nov. 17.

Aside from the speaker schedule throughout the week, various side events organized by different Web3 groups will take place near the venue. The full list can be found on the event website. Among these side events are a Web3 Debate by Bitskwela, a Kickoff party hosted by MetaverseGo, HashZ, and Metacare, an investor matchmaking event by Blockchain Space and YGG, and an Axie Infinity tournament with a $120,000 prize pool by Sky Mavis.
