NFT Coming From Famous Spanish Midfielder

Last week, on June 9, the famous Spanish footballer, Guti, announced the creation of a non-fungible token (NFT) game card with TopGoalNFT and Binance. The announcement came via a Tweet that got 3,000 likes. The retired midfielder, famous for playing nearly his whole career at legendary Spanish club Real Madrid, is asking fans to choose their favorite moments from his career to turn into an NFT. Guti joins the NFT hype-train with this venture.

The fair-haired Spaniard posted a video with three incredible moments from his career in the early 2000s. The player has many great moments across an illustrious 15-year career that saw him win 15 trophies with over 500 caps. Guti is a player famous for his midfield play and passing. Two of the player’s video moments include his signature “taconazo” or back-heel passes. The player famous for his ups and downs is now asking fans for a boost.

Guti is the second player to be confirmed by Top Goal for an NFT. The first was legendary English forward Michael Owen. Owen is a former Balon d’Or winner at Liverpool in 2001. TopGoal also tweeted a thank you to Guti for joining their project.

Is CZ a fan of Los Blancos?

The ex-Los Blancos player drew the favor of an extremely notable Binance employee, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) himself. CZ retweeted the former vice-captain’s post and also gave a vague reply. He wrote that he had a favorite moment from Guti’s video, but did not specify. The tweets come hot off the start of the Euros--the senior Football tournament on the continent-- which began this past weekend.

This simple retweet led many fans in the comments to begin speculating that CZ could be a fan of the club from La Mancha. International football teams have appeal all around the world, especially Real Madrid. The team from the Spanish capital is the most successful European club in history with a record 13 European/Champions League and seven club world championships.

With how rumors in the football world begin to swirl, is it possible that CZ is a Real Madrid fan? With the cryptic football tweet from a crypto king, could CZ be a Madrista? Fans of rivals like FC Barcelona and other major European teams should keep an eye on this development.

Guti’s NFT is set to be released soon. No update on which of his famous moments was chosen. Maybe we will see CZ with a follow-up? Stay tuned for news from Guti and the Top Goal team.
