How Voting on ApeSwap Works

Voting on ApeSwap is simple and straightforward. To have a vote, users must hold GNANA, ApeSwap’s native token. Each individual GNANA a user holds counts for a vote. If a user holds 20 GNANA, that same user has effectively 20 votes.

NOTE: GNANA tokens that are staked do not count when voting. GNANA tokens must be held in a wallet address when a user votes to be counted. It should also be noted that a vote will not pass if 4% or less of the circulating GNANA supply is not involved in the vote.

ApeSwap has two primary governance proposal types. The first is ApeSwap Core where updates are put forth by the ApeSwap dev team. The second proposal type is the ApeSwap Community, where token holders with 2,500 GNANA or more can put forward community proposals.

For active users of ApeSwap, voting is imperative, as shaping the direction and trajectory of the platform can be hugely important for old and new investors. Make sure you save the date and vote!

What is ApeSwap?

ApeSwap is a multi-purpose decentralized protocol that investors and users can use for yield farming and staking. The platform is built on the Binance Smart Chain and has been forked from PancakeSwap.
