The Agora NFT Marketplace has become one of the latest crypto projects to meet its end in this bear. Cronos Research confirmed the abandonment of the project.
The Agora NFT Marketplace on Cronos has joined the graveyard of “dead” crypto projects during this bear market, according to Cronos Research.
In an Aug. 24 tweet, Cronos Research detailed several platforms belonging to the project that are now no longer functional. The platform’s social media is defunct and its website is disabled.
In other words, the Agora marketplace is no longer functional. Cronos Reserach also revealed that only 3% of funds had been committed to the project's launchpad since mid-July, according to Pinksale information.
Agora NFT Marketplace went into a death spiral due to poor management earlier this year. The project posted a tweet on May 22 detailing that it had completed a takeover from old team members. The tweet also explained how the old team members had sold tokens that belonged to its community for vesting. It also promised to build back better and become one of the leading NFT marketplaces.
On June 11, the platform announced plans to pay back the community members who lost their money through the old token. It also revealed the rules behind the transition to Version 2 of the AGO token.
However, it doesn’t appear those plans worked out, as the project seems to have collapsed for good.
