DG Pals Hosts First Launch Event for Polygon; Updates Legends Game

DG Pals references two new games and brings major updates to Legends.

Polygon Expansion Event

DG Pals has its sights set on the Polygon network in a big way. The Cronos-based Non-Fungible Token (NFT) gaming ecosystem is holding its first launch event for the Layer-2 Ethereum sidechain.

The tweet from DG Pals is short and sweet, promising more details on the launch event in the near future – which apparently will feature “amazing prizes!” However, the graphic accompanying the tweet provides a few teasers about upcoming plans in the project’s roadmap.

For example, the graphic refers to DG Pals’ mobile tower-defense game “Merge Defence,” the upcoming PFP collection and multiplayer racing game “Dash.”

The Polygon announcement comes shortly after DG Pals released a new version of its turn-based strategy game “Legends,” which was upgraded to Beta 2.0 about three weeks ago.

The new update brings a renovated User Interface, rebalances some skills in favor of defense over offense, and introduces the 2022 Limited Edition Wintertide DG Pals NFT collection into the game.

Additionally, according to Medium post, DG Pals is about to launch a new special edition egg type into the game, and is also creating a “Player versus Environment” mode into Legends.

“This is something we have always wanted to develop, and will be the mode in which your brains are put to the test in order to overcome various challenges,” according to the post.

What Is Cronos:

Cronos is an Ethereum-compatible layer-1 blockchain network built on the Cosmos SDK technology. The network was designed to scale the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector and user base of the decentralized application (Dapps) by enabling developers to instantly port dApps and assets from other layer-1 blockchain networks like Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, and Terra.

What is Polygon:

Polygon is a “sidechain” scaling solution that runs alongside the Ethereum blockchain — allowing for speedy transactions and low fees. MATIC is the network’s native cryptocurrency, which is used for fees, staking, and more. The effectiveness of Polygon as an alternative to Ethereum has seen existing projects such as Aave and Curve adopting its chain.
