Bitget Taps Into the RWA Boom
Bitget, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, officially joined the Global Markets Alliance, a collaborative initiative led by Ondo Finance to accelerate the adoption of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). The partnership is a strategic push to expand Bitget’s ecosystem beyond traditional crypto assets and give its global user base regulated, seamless access to tokenized U.S. stocks, ETFs, and money market funds.
The offering is expected to go live later this summer and includes over 100 financial instruments in tokenized form—products historically restricted to conventional finance.
Excited to share that @bitgetglobal is joining the Global Markets Alliance and that Bitget users will be able to access Ondo’s 100+ tokenized stocks, ETFs, and more this summer.

Making Wall Street Assets Onchain
RWAs—tokenized versions of real-world financial instruments—are emerging as a new frontier in digital finance. These tokens represent assets such as U.S. equities, Treasuries, and ETFs, which are wrapped into blockchain-based formats. Unlike legacy markets, they offer 24/7 access, fractional ownership, and borderless trading.
Bitget users will be able to tap into these advantages directly from the platform. That means owning a portion of Apple stock or a U.S. Treasury note could soon be as easy as trading Bitcoin or Ethereum—without needing a brokerage account or facing geographic restrictions.
“Tokenization will be the major driver of the next phase of digital asset adoption,” said Bitget CEO Gracy Chen. “Supporting tokenized stocks is a step closer to our goal of helping users trade smarter. Through our partnership with Ondo and the Global Markets Alliance, we’re contributing to a more global, liquid, and inclusive financial market.”
The partnership allows Bitget users to build portfolios that include both volatile crypto assets and stable, yield-generating instruments like ETFs and U.S. Treasuries—all through one interface. This helps close the gap between traditional finance and decentralized markets.
Strategic Timing in a Changing Market
The timing of this partnership comes as interest in tokenized RWAs reaches all-time highs. Traditional yields remain volatile, and global investors—both retail and institutional—are searching for ways to gain regulated exposure to real-world assets without relying on outdated infrastructure.
Ondo Finance, which leads the alliance, is already a recognized name in the RWA sector. Its flagship product, USDY—a tokenized U.S. Treasury offering 4.25% APY—has over $687 million in total value locked (TVL) across multiple blockchains.
Most recently, Ondo announced that USDY will launch natively on Sei Network, one of the fastest-growing Layer-1 chains in 2025, with over 821% year-over-year growth and TVL exceeding $1.49 billion.
Global Markets Alliance: Who’s In?
Bitget joins a heavyweight roster of members in the Global Markets Alliance, including:
- Solana Foundation
- LayerZero
- Jupiter
- BitGo
- Fireblocks
- 1inch
- Trust Wallet
- Rainbow Wallet
- Alpaca
- WORLD3
Their focus is to build common standards and reliable pathways for bridging tokenized securities with DeFi protocols and centralized exchanges.
According to Ondo Finance CEO Nathan Allman, bringing tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs to Bitget marks a major step in that direction.
“Bitget’s expansive user base will become a critical platform for onchain access to U.S. equities as we continue building the infrastructure for institutional-grade onchain capital markets,” Allman said.
Unlocking Capital and Liquidity Across Borders
RWAs are not just another trend—they’re shaping the next generation of financial inclusion. By allowing assets to be divided into blockchain-based tokens, they eliminate minimum investment thresholds, cut down on intermediaries, and open access to global investors in jurisdictions that often face financial exclusion.
For example, a retail user in Asia or Africa could now own a slice of a U.S. ETF or earn Treasury-backed yield without opening a U.S. brokerage account. These are possibilities that legacy systems rarely provide.
Worth noting, one of the key challenges for tokenized RWAs has been regulatory uncertainty. However, per reports, Ondo Finance and its partners in the Global Markets Alliance are addressing this through collaboration with trusted custodians, compliance-focused architecture, and transparent reporting.
Products like USDY are already structured to comply with U.S. securities laws for non-U.S. investors, setting a precedent for responsible innovation.
