Recruitment by Binance heats up as the exchange's importance on Europe grows before the MiCA announcement in April
Binance has an open job position for EU Policy Comms Director currently advertising on its website. The position would be a part of the Global Communications team and would report to the Global Chief Communications Officer.
The full-time position offered out of Brussels signals a renewed focus on working with policymakers in the European Union who are increasingly taking a hard-lined approach to crypto regulation. The role will be crucial in helping Binance navigate the complex legislative happenings within the supranational governance body.
According to the job post a successful candidate “will manage our EU strategy and execution for engagement with corporate and policy media, key opinion formers (KOFs), opinion elites and political influencers and third parties to create a consistent narrative of the industry as well as advocates that can provide third party perspectives during regulatory debates.”
The offering by Binance looks to fall in line with the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation that looks set to formalize in April. The MiCA regulation will be a major piece of legislation from the EU that will affect crypto entities of all sizes, from the biggest exchanges like Binance to smaller wallet providers.
Binance has worked hard to secure licenses to operate in several EU jurisdictions including France, Italy, and most recently Sweden. The recruitment shows Binance takes the region and its growth seriously. In 2022, Martin Bruncko, Binance’s Executive VP for Europe, suggested Europe could become Binance’s formal headquarters.

Binance positions itself as the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and crypto-asset infrastructure provider with a financial product suite that includes the largest digital asset exchange by volume. The Binance platform aims to increase the freedom of money for users and features a comprehensive portfolio of crypto-asset products and offerings, including trading and finance, education, data and research, social good, investment and incubation, decentralization, and infrastructure solutions.
