The prominent Play-to-Earn game Axie Infinity released game patch 1.1.2 in a January 10 update, with major visual gameplay updates and anti-botting mechanisms. One notable visual update was the shedding of wings for the Axies that now stand in battle instead of floating.

NFT horse racing metaverse, DeRace, brought an innovative revamp to its gameplay in the first week of April. This update introduced gamified wearables and performance-boosting assets.
